Tis the Season...

Hello All,
To those who know what we're going through, thank you for the prayers, support, and help you've given. We are overwhelmed with gratitude! To those who don't know us personally, here's our story in a nutshell....
My name is Jessica (Winkle) Hammett, my husband Chad and I have been married for almost 2 years. We came together both having two children full time and added one of our own this June 2008! Brandon, our 14 year old was diagnosed with Ewing's Sarcoma, which is a bone cancer, in August 2008. We were of course devastated and scared, but have learned a lot over the past couple of months and have gained strength from the prayers and support of family and friends. As if being newlyweds, blending a family, a new baby, and now childhood cancer weren't enough to worry about, Chad was laid off from his job about a month after we found out about Brandon's cancer. We have been very blessed through these trials and are always trying to see the silver lining. We have definitely grown closer as a family. We have to travel 4 hours north to Primary Children's Medical Center every other week, to stay a week in the hospital, for Brandon to receive Chemotherapy. This is not only hard on us as a family being away from each other but as you can imagine financially difficult.
We would ask all of you who receive this to PLEASE forward this on to everyone you know. We realize times are tough for everyone right now and if you can donate $1, $10, $50 , or just keep us in your prayers, we appreciate it all the same. To those of you who have helped us already, we thank you SO much!

All our Love,
Chad, Jessica, & kids
