Update on TayTay

My brown eyed girl.

Tayvin is almost 8 months, which is just crazy fast!
She is just too much fun and too cute to stand. Robert always says he wants to squeeze her cheeks til they pop! You'd understand if you saw her smile in person. Oh! Those cheeks. Anyways...She is now saying "Hi" and waving, which is just delightful really. It still cracks me up everytime she does it. She's sitting up, but is totally not mobile...just the way I like her for now! :) She's lucky she's so cute because her other new stuff (I have a sneaking suspicion) could possibly get annoying...for example, as soon as I step even one step out of sight she screams "Maaaaaaaaaaa" like a little old man or something. She is also an expert squeeler and by expert I mean very long and with much enthusiasm and endurance! So lovely when you really need to get something done! I really didn't want to start her on foods yet, but the little Miss is demanding!! She's just tried a few things and the pics are some of her firsts:
She wouldn't nurse because I was eating the apple (multi-tasking) and so I gave her the core and she was very content to kick back and watch some TV with us. She's putting those 2 new bottom teeth to good scraping use.
Stay tuned for the pic of Mekhi at Red Robin and keep this pic in mind. Haha. My kids are serious about their food!
That's right Mama, you better not think about taking this away from me again!
1st banana that started it all...that or all the stuff grandma has been sneaking her on the sly.

  2. Tami! Your little TayTay is so adorable! I love babies! My Eli is just around the same age and doing the same things. It's so fun to see them grow and they do it so fast! How long have you been married? How is Mekhi? I bet he is so big! Liz is growing so much too. She's in second grade this year and is a real good reader. She's very smart!

I love facebook! I'm so glad to be in touch with you again! Are you still doing Med Transcription?

  3. Okay, here's the lowdown, girl! My husband and I were set up on a date about 7 years ago, got married 6 months later. We both previously served chinese speaking missions. He got a job with GMAC about 5 years ago, and FINALLY they sent us to China on a 4 year assignment. Before we got that call, we had already started the adoption process for a chinese girl/s (but we are still fertile, just had that feeling that was what we wanted to do anyway). So now that we're here, the process went from a 3 to 5 year wait time to 18 months. We're totally excited!

So I think that covers it!

And yes, I loved your daughter in the Babylegs. Nice to know there's a mama out there with some taste. Holly and I went to a trade show last year, and they were hot. Everyone in Vegas loved them. But they hadn't quite spread everywhere else yet. So I love that you totally are on this trend. You have always been on the "hip" side girl! LOL!

So now that I've seen them on your babe, I think I'll need to get some! LOL!

Love you, and yes, it's been way way way too long!
