We just got back from another beautiful summer week in Chelan, which of course means there are 500+ pics to come. Anyways, we were driving home last night in the dark when we got pulled over. Robert knew for sure he wasn't speeding or anything so we were just sitting and waiting patiently as the cop had some one else pulled over behind him he was dealing with. After a few minutes Tay pulled away from watching Dora to ask "Hey! what's going on here?" We told her that the police man pulled us over as the officer finally made it over to our window flashlight shining and all. He was totally nice and asked if we pulled over for any reason...um...yeah, cuz your a cop and you were behind us and you had your lights on. Thankfully he told us he just wanted the other guy and wished us a good night.
We pull off and are on our merry way when we here Tay pipe up from the back "I'm glad I didn't go to foster!" This closely followed by "and daddy didn't go to jail" and as we are stifling giggles she adds that she's glad Mekhi didn't go to foster either. At this point I'm giving Rob "the eye" as best I can whilst he's driving the car in the dark. It's quiet for a few minutes and then again "phew! I thought that guy was going to take me to foster!" We were cracking up laughing at that point because it sounded so funny in her cute little serious voice. Apparently a few weeks ago when Tay decided to unbuckle herself while daddy was driving he decided to tell her the very animated story of getting pulled over and the cop discovering an unbuckled Tay which would obviously lead to his arrest and Tay's having to go to foster care. Seriously?!? This is my dear husband. {Sigh} Because he told it in his typical crazy style she requested it a dozen times and apparently it stuck! I can't help but ponder how that little brain has felt these past couple weeks? Of course Rob's response was "she's stayed buckled hasn't she?" So there ya go...scared straight. We love you TayTay and we'll totally pay for your future therapy. ;)
Okay, I am still laughing! That is so funny!!
