Speaking of Scrapbooking...

Ok, I discussed with my SIL Tiff digital scrapbooking because I'd heard of it but hadn't looked into what it was yet. She was kind enough to explain what she knew and her opinion was that she enjoys the actual hands on creating...cutting, gluing, the whole thing and then having the finished product she made in her hands. I was really feeling that answer as I enjoy the same things...

Then I go to my ward's enrichment night and they totally had a class on it. I asked the woman teaching how she felt about the above and she said she loved that too..."but how often do you do it?" she asked. Yeah. I think I have a week or so of Mekhi's life done, he's almost 8! So... I'm a bit swayed. My mom actually had a good idea as far as going digital, but doing some by hand throughout the year like birthday's and such. Hmmm....

So if anyone out there happens upon this and actually reads it I'd love your thoughts and opinions!!! Thanks! :D

  1. I am all about the hands on stuff. I like to sit and do it and have a finished project to look at it. I like the 3 dimensional stuff. Although I don't do it as often as I would like and am not caught up, I am only 27 years old and I don't know about you but I plan on living till' 120 years at least! So I have plenty of time!

I do like the look of the digital too. I just don't think I can see myself printing when I am finished. Good luck!

  2. The woman from the class said she didn't print for a year and it hit her that she was missing that "in hand" feeling. Then she got her printer and she said it totally fixed that feeling..."talk about instant gratification" she said. I'm pretty sure it will get to a point where I'll say forget it, especially if we end up with any more kids!

How are you anyways? I've been gone so much the past couple months, I feel so out of touch with everyone around here!
