Hallucinations in May

Tayvin woke up screaming frantically at 3am. Robert went in to check on her and couldn't figure out what was wrong with her for the life of him. He finally brought her into our room so I could witness the craziness up front n personal. She was screaming that bugs were getting her feet and trying to literally climb on top of our heads. This went on for a few hours. It actually really started to freak me out to where I was thinking she had one of those random diseases that just show up overnight on your seemingly perfectly healthy child. Turns out she had a really high fever and a bad ear infection in her ear. It went on for days though and she'd be all freaked out and jumpy in the middle of the day too. We'd get her calmed down on the couch and all the sudden she'd startle and start wanting up. It was so sad though because you could tell the hallucinations had been very realistic to her. Her heart was just thudding out of her chest. Poor kid.

Now a few weeks later she will randomly decide there is a bug in her bed, in the car, in her dinner and will start freaking out wanting nothing to do with it. Hopefully this will reside eventually because before that she'd ask to "soft" the bugs and spiders. Not that I want her petting bugs and spiders, but I don't want her terrified either.
