A Shopping Day with Tay

Our day actually first started at the dr's office. Tay was discussing ogre's with Robert due to something she saw in a movie. As we leave the office a totally normal looking, but taller and bald man walks out of another door and amidst her chatter she asks loudly..."is that an ogre?!?" Oh boy...

Our next stop was at Macy's where little Ms. Stinker kept wandering off and at one point I just gave up and got ghetto by simply yelling for my child instead of going to look for her. So, I yell "Tayvin where are you, we can't see you and that's not listening. Santa won't be happy!!" She comes running around a corner towards us screaming on top of her lungs with a look of pure excitement "hey mom!! that's my song! they're playing my song!!" I stop and listen and sure nuff I hear the main Nutcracker song playing and she proceeds to delight our fellow shoppers with some very un-varied yet cute ballet moves all learned courtesy of Barbie movies. :) Now she always says "hey that's my jam!" when she hears a song she has heard before or just likes. She even yelled at Rob the other day for singing her jam when she had already been trying to sing along in the car. How rude! ;)

We stopped briefly at Old Navy and Barnes & Noble and during both she kept exclaiming "my butt itches!" and promptly shoving her whole arm down the back of her clothes AND diaper and scratching profusely. Um...yeah, I swear we bathe our girl. Promise.

We ate at Red Lobster where she was seriously enthusiastic about ordering popcorn shrimp and then a bit deflated when she realized there was no actual popcorn involved. Then she kept asking "can I fee you?" in a cute little baby voice and then trying to shove not so delicately the food into my mouth...repeatedly. Those cheesy garlic biscuits are soooo good though, I didn't mind too much.

Later that day we picked up Mekhi or brudder according to Tay. Seriosuly everything is brudder this, brudder that, and "hey! that's my brudder!" It's pretty cute. We actually were heading to see Tangled (which I completely loved), but had to go through Walgreen's pharmacy to grab a prescription first.

I was trying to tune those in the backseat out a bit I will confess so I didn't catch on to what she kept asking as we were sitting in the pharmacy drive-thru until we started to drive away. I realized when she said a quick blessing on the food and then demanded her fries that she had been asking for fries the whole time thinking that we were in a fast food drive thru! It was very funny.
