Her new thing is to tell us very enthusiastically that we are her "best friend in the whole world!!" It's pretty cute until you tell her no or that she has to go to bed. Then it's "you're stupid!" It seriously hurts my feelings and I swear we don't say that at all...we say stupid, but not to people you know? Then I heard that and more on some cartoon Khi was watching just this morning...needless to say he won't be watching that one anymore. Grrrr.
She's still a diva, but she is so cute while being a dive it's so hard not to laugh.
Driving home yesterday she was chattering away and after a good 15 minutes of her talking (!!!) she says so seriously "Mommy, are you listening to me?" I laughed and said yes because it sounded so funny coming from her. She then says "No, don't laugh...listen to me!" followed by "Mommy, are you listening to me?" That could have gone all day...I can hear her saying it in my head and it still makes me chuckle.
Driving earlier this week with the whole fam like sardines in our car she chuckes and says "hmph, you're a funny Guy Mekhi. You're a funny Guy." I tried to get it on camera but it doesn't have the same umph as when it's spontaneous and she puts so much emphasis on Guy.
She also randomly tells us that we are gorgeous and clever. She loves the word clever.
It's been like a month now that she mostly refers to Robert as "Prince Erik." They were playing imaginary stuff one day and she said she was Princess Arielle and he Prince Erik and it stuck. One day I heard her calling him daddy, but he was on the phone or something and I finally hear her yell "PRINCE ERIK!!!" Oh!, yes Princess Arielle? says Rob. It was pretty cute. She had a brief stint as Kai-Lan and daddy was Yoli or whatever the Grandpa's name is on the show, but that has only been two different days. It's pretty much Prince Erik all the time with her being various princesses.
She is still sleeping horrible...well going to sleep is horrible! Seriously, I can't take it much longer. We put her to bed and she keeps herself awake for hours and doesn't finally fall asleep until 12 or 1 AM! It's bad. She has fell asleep the past 2 night at 10:30 or so, but I don't want to get my hopes up. We are going to talk to her dr about it Tuesday.
I don't know if I wrote about it last time, but she still says "I MAM" and "yes, I mam" and it sounds so funny.
She is very good about saying thank you and will thank you for something so many times, but it's so cute because it will be totally random and after you've done something or given her something weeks ago. She says it so sincerely, it's so sweet.
She also likes to say "you're like a baby" then she follows it up with "that's what Abatar says!" and then she laughs. It's pretty funny! (And we watch Avatar with Clearplay just as a nifty little FYI.) :)
She walked up to Robert with her hand out in front of her palm down, fingers curled, spider-style and she says "you like my little spider?" He shreaks. She turns around and walks away saying "oooh, my poor little spider. No one wants to play with you!" BAHAHAHAHA.
She informed me the other night as she was walking away that she KNOWS things. Yep. Seriously. "I know things now. I getting bigger. I know things." She also informed the cashier at Costco yesterday.
This past week she told me she wanted to grow up and be big like me and that she is going to grow up and be a mommy too.
Our boy cat has been re-named Saraphina because she LOVES barbie movies (also what she is going to grow up and be) and was running in fear from her brother the bad Pauper.
Don't remember if I've mentioned in a past post, but want to remember: you can totally put her off with "not yet." She might really want something or to do something and if you say no, most of the time she'll ask "not yet?" Nope, not yet. And she's totally FINE. Won't freak out or keep asking. BUT...don't think she's forgotten. It might be days or even a week later and she'll ask me to do something followed by "is it time yet?" So sweet.
